Thermen Resorts wanted to create an online platform that exuded the same soothing and luxurious atmosphere as their physical locations. The existing digital infrastructure no longer met the increasing demands for an integrated, customer-centric approach. The challenge was to develop a system that not only improved the user experience, but was also flexible enough to grow with the future. A key focus was to streamline booking processes and create a personalised digital environment for customers, while revamping the technical foundation of the landscape.

In Thermen Resorts' digital transformation, the Data Management Platform (DMP) plays a key role. Where previously the Content Management System (CMS) controlled everything, the new DMP now takes charge of data processing. This platform connects Thermen Resorts' various systems, such as the xPlan servers, Snowflake, Selligent and the 'My Thermes' environment, making for a more efficient and streamlined operation. This upgrade not only offers smoother operation, but also lays a solid foundation for future extensions and improvements.

Thermen Resorts' website is designed with flexible components, allowing administrators to easily modify and expand content, ensuring the site is always up-to-date and in line with the latest trends and needs. The booking flow has been integrated with the Data Management Platform (DMP), offering customers a smoother and more efficient booking experience. Moreover, a module has been added that blocks specific products and entrances based on predetermined logic, such as reaching maximum capacity, preventing users from booking unavailable options and improving the overall user experience.

To further strengthen customer relations, the "My Thermes" environment has been developed. Through a mobile app, customers can now manage their reservations, participate in the loyalty programme and enjoy additional benefits. This environment is fully integrated with the resorts, ensuring a convenient user experience.

With the launch of its revamped platform, Thermen Resorts has taken a big step in providing the ultimate digital customer experience. The dynamic website now reflects the luxury of the physical locations, while the revamped booking system simplifies the booking process. The "My Thermes" environment is accessible via both mobile app and browser, and is managed from a single codebase (React Native Web). The app has now 57.5k downloads reached (30.1k on iOS and 27.4k on Android), these improvements have significantly increased customer engagement and loyalty.
